Primary Job Function

To serve as the subject matter expert and sales specialist in informatics portfolio.  Being able to uncover customer gaps, pain points and challenges and demonstrate how solutions can solve and the value it delivers.

This position will utilize; develop; and implement strategies for the most complex and largest customer base such as Landmark accounts as part of total solution.

To support achievement of expected Acquisition and Renewal expected KPIs through closing targeted opportunities.

Achieve territory sales plan.  Profitably grow the business by building and positioning the total solution, specifically Informatics.


Core Job Responsibilities

  1. Base Core job responsibilities
  • Win the laboratory vote and enhance the c-suite strategy by serving as a subject matter expert for informatics solutions as part of the total solution.
  • Achieve assigned financial targets for Informatics Support the achievement of Acquisition (& Renewal) sales and profitability targets and achieve targeted opportunity close KPIs.
  • Led by the Opportunity owner, participate in the assigned acquisition and renewal opportunities, including in the development of the opportunity strategy; execute technical commercial activities displaying a high level knowledge & positioning of our enablers as part of our end to end solution.
  • Contribute with in depth laboratory, workflow and IT knowledge.
  • Acts as the lead selling team representative for informatics solution design by uncovering customer goals, needs, pain points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish and build deep understanding of accounts, stakeholders and competitive situation through a consultative and investigational approach which uncovers key customer insights and requirements.
  • Working with the whole opportunity team, strategic pricing and others, take a central role to quantify the impact of  enablers proposed as part of the total solution, and as required measure the post implementation impact.
  • Share Informatics and knowledge with the wider team to drive improved positioning of solutions & comprehensive competitor de-positioning (Solution strategy and portfolio technology).
  • Working with marketing; gather and communicate competitor information (Specific focus to areas of responsibility) from region / country and disseminate for use in opportunity strategies. Be the competitive experts in their fields.
  • Be central to solution and technical responses for Tender replies.
  • Coordinate & participate in customer presentations & reference visits as required.
  1. Specialised Responsibilities
  • Execute and deliver workflow studies (in partnership with TSD where applicable), to a standard aligned to LEAN 6 Sigma principles.
  • Utilising design and other visual and analytical tools, build designs, models, simulations etc. to best show the impact of  solutions.
  • Coordinate with Country / Regional / Area resources to design and deliver solutions which comply with guidelines while remaining true to customer requirements

Minimum Education

  • Diploma or degree or equivalent in a informatics, clinical diagnostics, healthcare, operational engineering / design discipline.
  • Successful completion of Strategic Selling and Negotiation Courses
  • Basic English

Minimum Experience/Training Required

  • Informatics sales or technical background, Healthcare preferred
  • 3 years commercial experience in Informatics, Diagnostics or Healthcare sales preferred.
