The purpose of the Country Medical Affairs Associate Director is to provide leadership, oversight and strategic direction for the local Medical team, has full accountability on processes and appropriate interaction with internal and external stakeholders in order to excel positioning of local Medical Affairs.
The Country Medical Affairs Associate Director works collaboratively at a Cluster & Regional level with Medical Organizations, at country level across Country Leadership Members, Commercial Organization, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support Programs (when available) among others to elaborate, develop, execute and control the Medical Affairs strategy, Medical plans, Medical Budgets and field engagement. The Director will be required to interface directly with external stakeholders in order to ensure the success of the Country strategy. Associate Director must have (preferable) or build an extensive networking among External Experts, Health Decision makers and other important stakeholders.
The Associate Director highly engages with processes and promotes adequate adherence to Global, Regional and Local SOPs (elaborates it when needed) and promote transparent interactions according to country regulations and compliance guidelines.
The position works under the structural guidance of the Sr. Director APAC Medical, and directly reports to the Country GM.
Science/health science degrees (MSc, MPH, MHE, PhD)
Advanced scientific/medical degree (M.D. or equivalent preferred).
10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including 5+ years’ experience in Medical Affairs. Experienced at working collaboratively in a matrixed environment. Team in charge 1+ direct reports.
